You know you're getting older when a "weekend away" involves airport alarms, flight delays and trying to remember where you left your reading glasses.

The weekend of 19th June 2026 sees COOL BRITANNIA attempting one of mankind's greatest challenges: Brisbane to Melbourne to Sydney in less than 48 hours whilst pretending we're still 25.

Friday starts with an ungodly early flight out of Brisbane. The sort of hour normally reserved for dairy farmers, fishermen and people who've made terrible life choices.

We land in Melbourne and it's straight into soundcheck mode. No sightseeing. No laneway coffee culture. No standing around discussing street art. Straight to work.

And what a day it is.

We'll be rehearsing with a full Brass Quartet, featuring musicians from the legendary Melbourne Ska Orchestra. Which means for one glorious evening we'll sound significantly more professional than we actually are!

Opening up for us are 'Setting Sons', the brilliant tribute to The Jam and Paul Weller. If you like sharp suits, sharp tunes and looking cool without appearing to try, you're in for a treat.

Friday night we're at The Prince Bandroom in St Kilda. One of Melbourne's great live venues.

Then it's straight to bed.

Well... that's the official version.

The reality is after a show your brain is still doing 140 kilometres an hour. You're buzzing, talking nonsense, replaying every song and convincing yourself a kebab is somehow a sensible health decision.

A few hours later we're back at Melbourne Airport looking like extras from Shaun of the Dead and heading for Sydney.

Same routine.

Different city.

Big show.

The Sydney gig is shaping up to be an absolute cracker. All Early Bird and First Release tickets sold out months ago, and there are only a handful left online and on the door. If you're thinking about coming, stop thinking and start buying!

We'll also have our brand-new T-shirts available.

This features the classic pencil-in-the-cassette-tape design.

If you're under 30, you'll probably think it's some sort of ancient farming equipment.

Here's the thing.

These nights aren't really about us.

They're about that moment when the lights go down and suddenly you're 17 again.

It's about the songs that got you through school, first loves, first jobs, first heartbreaks and some very questionable haircuts.

For two hours everyone sings together. Strangers become mates. Phones disappear. Real life takes a breather.

In a world that's constantly scrolling, rushing and shouting, these gigs are one of the few places where people still gather for the same reason: to feel something.

The music of the 90s wasn't perfect.

Neither were we.

But somehow both have aged better than expected.

So grab your mates, put the babysitter on standby, dust off your Adidas and come and make some memories with us.

Because one day we'll all be too old for this.
