Britpop Bliss and Biscuit Banter at Miami Marketta!

What a night at the Miami Marketta last Saturday! First up, "Call the Cops! " it was a delight to have our mates the Police tribute 'Every Breath You Take' aka the Geoffs and Paul treat everyone to a killer set, thanks fellas, we'll see you very soon.

Before we go on, a huge thanks to Emily and the MM team, the sound techs, and our own audio legend Joel.

By the time we hit the stage, you lot were absolutely brilliant. There's nothing quite like playing Britpop classics to a room full of people singing along in full voice – simply amazing; the energy was fantastic! We had the honour to share the stage with four members of the Symphony String Quartet and weren't they wonderful?! - what a buzz!

We always love catching up with some of you after a gig, and Saturday night was no exception. We had some lovely compliments, and hopefully everyone had a fab night.

As we were loading the van after the gig, some folks were heading home on their 'pushies' and we had an interesting chat with a bloke from Crewe – proper legend! He spotted Bondy's t-shirt, which, for those who missed it, was a little nod to the Jam/Blur classic. Turns out this legend used to work for British Rail himself, and we got talking about all sorts - 'where are you from?', 'favourite songs' etc.

The conversation then took a turn, as it often does when Brits and a few pints are involved, towards the serious business of tea and biscuits. We debated the best biscuits for dunking – a truly crucial topic! Custard Creams, Rich Tea, Digestives, nay chocolate Digestives, the classic HobNob (cue that Peter Kay sketch!)... everyone had their favourites and strong opinions were offered before they peddled off into the distance! It was a proper laugh, but you had to be there!

Go on, what's your preferred dunker?

Massive thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a memorable night on the Goldy. You guys are the reason we do this. We'll see you all at the next one, which is just around the corner, we're in Brizzy at The Triffid this weekend! (Click 'ere for info!)

Looking forward to a bit of hobnobbing with you!

Stay Cool, Stay Britpop, Big Love

Mick, Neil, John, Dee, and Bondy
