Kings Beach Tavern – You Lot Were Out Out!
Caloundra, you absolute beauties. Saturday 31 Jan, 350+ of you turned up at Kings Beach Tavern – and honestly, it looked like the opening ceremony of the Ben Sherman Olympics. Gazelles everywhere. Fred Perry polos as far as the eye could see. Some of you were dressed so British we almost asked to see your passports.
We thought we’d treat you to a little test run: the brass quartet. First outing with us, warming up for the national tour. We were nervous. They were nervous. One lad thought a Queensland magpie was a drone and nearly legged it. But once we kicked in… you lot loved it. Cheers for the support – felt like a proper moment.

A Night With PULP at Riverstage
We had ourselves a band night out to see PULP at Riverstage, and let me tell you…Jarvis walked out like he’d just floated in from a biscuit advert. The lasers were so bright half the audience aged backwards. The bass was so loud people in Kangaroo Point started dancing involuntarily. Jarvis did that hip wiggle and three of us needed a little lie-down.
Five stars.
Would Pulp again.
Norths Leagues Club, Kallangur – Little Britain’s Finest
Next up: Sat 28 Feb, we played 'Norths Leagues Club' for the first time. Only 10 minutes from North Lakes, also known locally as “Little Britain” – because you can’t throw a stone without hitting someone called Kev who owned a Vauxhall Astra.
Another 300+ of you turned up for our debut show there. Massive room, booming like the inside of a giant’s bathroom, but the staff were lovely and the crowd was proper pucker.
We rolled out the brass section again and it went down smoother than an E & a 1997 WKD Blue. You had to be there.

We’ve got new merch coming mid‑March! Old-school cassette tape + pencil design. If you know, you know. If you don’t know… ask someone over 40 and watch their eyes mist over.
And don’t worry – we only use proper top-quality shirts (AS Colour). People of our vintage aren’t buying any old rubbish. Our backs are too precious.
We even got Noel, Jarvis, Ian and Richard to “model” them for us. 'Ave a look....They didn’t say yes… but they also didn’t say no. So that’s a win. If you'd like to buy one, Send us a message with name/address/size coolbritanniamusic@gmail.com
